6/11/2024 0 Comments Where to begin?Honesty is always the best option. :) Striving to be honest I tend to begin by seeking the root and then investing in loss. In this case my investing in loss is opening up and being vulnerable to you through placing my words on screen for all to see. Seeking the root in this context is outlining my original intentions for this blog, so here we go... Welcome to my first blog post on Honest Tai Chi. I hope this blog becomes a place you enjoy visiting that helps you shift into a more peaceful, joyful, and loving life. A lot has happened to me, and for me, in these past 10 years of teaching and 20 years of practicing meditation and martial arts. All of my life experiences have been supported and led by exploring these things and the relationships these persuits have brought to me. For a professional overview on these past 2 decades check out my your teacher page.
In the past I used to write about kung fu and tai chi a lot more specifically. You can find my previous blog here: MWL Blog. Here recently I've been writing curriculum and describing our particular methods to help my students and clients work through various types of pain and other health issues. I've been missing my blogging and on this blog I want to take a more personal approach by sharing more than my martial art and healing practices with you. To me Tai Chi and Kung Fu is everything (and nothing, we'll get to that later). So I want to share how it has influenced my life, which is practically everything! lol In particular I'm excited to share the meditative meanings behind much of my artwork, and how some of these insights bleed/blend into my approach to healing. I want everything I post on here to be valuable, genuine and most importantly to unfold naturally. To help things run on somewhat of a schedule I commit to posting at least once per month, although it will likely be more frequent than that. Either way I'll be sharing these posts on my facebook page and via email to my clients + students. I'm glad you took the time to read my first little blurb on here, I'm excited to share my insights and my life with you. More to come my friends. Keep learning and moving because movement equals life. I hope everyone enjoys and gets something out of my work. To this end please share your comments and questions below and whether you'd like me to reply via email or if you'd like me to blog my answer for others to enjoy.
