Lets take a microscope to the steps of 'Commencement' in our Tai Chi form
Step one, stand w/ feet at 45 degree angle.
Step two, tuck your hips to sink into the feet
Step three, separate your weight and shift all your weight to one (your right) leg.
Step four, with all the weight on one leg, turn your hips to pivot on the ball of your foot.
Step five, Turn the hips back stepping out to shoulder width with the heel while pointing the foot straight ahead
Step six, pull to shift the weight
Step seven, turn the hips and circle the hands to correct the right foot.
Step eight pull to shift the weight back to center and relax
